Rugby Club Beer Festival

Last weekend a beer festival was held at Sudbury Rugby Club in memory of Matt Austin, who sadly passed away from Bowel Cancer in 2020.

Matt was a rugby player himself and was a popular member of the club – so the club wanted to host an annual beer festival in his honour.

As well as the beer festival, there was an extensive Gin Bar and food was available throughout the day. There was a Strong Man Competition, face painting and Live Music, including Matt’s step daughter who sang mostly her own compositions and played acoustic guitar.

We were pleased to supply the staff with their Austinbury T-shirts which included the very important message about how to recognise the early signs of bowel cancer.

The event was a fundraiser for Bowel Cancer research and lots of money was raised.
